Mary Wittrup
Mary Wittrup has been teaching private and group music lessons in Comal
County since 1988. Her education includes a Bachelor of Music Degree with a Major in Piano Pedagogy from Texas State University. Other instruments Ms. Wittrup has studied include classical guitar, flute, and most recently,
violin. She is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs, and
currently serves as President of the New Braunfels Music Study Club.
Ms. Wittrup uses a variety of teaching methods depending up the student's
age, ability, and learning style. All students are provided instruction in
sight reading, music theory, improvisation, memorizing, technique, and
performance skills.
Three recitals a year provide an opportunity for the student to perform in
front of an audience. The student may also choose to enter the National
Federation of Music Clubs annual festival where a judge will rate the
performance and provide valuable comments.
